Unlock Your Musical Potential with What's My Note!
What's My Note is a user-friendly app designed to help musicians of all levels improve their pitch recognition and ear training skills, making it an essential tool for aspiring and experienced musicians alike.
An app designed specifically for choral singers who may struggle with sight-reading music, What's My Note provides a convenient and user-friendly solution. With this app, you can easily snap a photo or import images in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. Simply touch the notes in the image, and you will be able to hear the pitch. Please note that this app is not intended for instrumental parts.
Whether you are a member of a choir, a barbershop quartet, or any other vocal group, What's My Note is an invaluable tool to help you learn and internalize the pitches in your sheet music. You can repeat single notes or intervals as many times as needed to fully grasp them.
What's My Note is compatible with published choral music commonly used by high school choruses, church choirs, musical theater productions, and barbershop quartets. If you are unsure whether this app will be able to read your specific sheet music, simply send us a photo via email and we will inform you promptly.
To get a comprehensive understanding of how What's My Note works, we encourage you to watch the demo video available on our website.
Please be aware that What's My Note does have some limitations. It does not play scores from start to finish, interpret complex rhythms, recognize or play piano or instrumental parts. Hand-written manuscripts and most forms of popular music may not be compatible with this app.
You can conveniently import PDFs and JPEGs into What's My Note and take advantage of its OCR feature on any device. However, it is important to note that for photographing music, an 8-megapixel camera is required. This camera feature is available on the following models: iPhone 4s and later, iPod Touch 6th Generation, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 4.
